Notre Dame des Neiges chapel, Beaupraz

Little chapel buildt in 1750, on the alpine meadows track.
Consacreted at first to Notre-Dame of Snows (it was in August 5th 366 when the virgin indicated, by a snowfall in Rome, the location where must be built the basilica Sainte-Marie-Majeure.). The picture of the altarpiece and the front of altar evoke the Visitation (St Marie's visit to her cousin Elisabeth, pregnant with St Jean-Baptiste). Saint Jean Baptiste is also represented to the right of the altar.
Saint Laurent, patron saint of poors, carries the palm of his martyr.
Masses are served at the end of the day during the summer.
