Construite à la fin du Moyen-Age ou au cours de la Renaissance, elle fut fortement remaniée en 1749. Il ne subsiste que 4 fermes des 5 originalles.
Elle est inscrite à l'inventaire des monuments historiques le 24 mai 1944.
Ancien marché couvert et siège des ventes publiques aux enchères, elle acueille l'Office de Tourisme depuis 1987.
