Description

Patronage of this church belonged to the Abbey of Bénévent. Church dating back to the 13th century, comprising a single nave with three rib-vaulted bays and a barrel-vaulted bay to the west. Flat chevet. A rectangular chapel was added later to the south of the nave. The bell tower is much more recent. Inside, the north wall has preserved a fragment of 15th-century mural painting. The figures are depicted on a light background with a scattering of flowers. A figure is standing in front of a building with a door. His right hand rests on a tau; his left holds a book and a rosary. Flames lick his feet. In the center, two ecclesiastics. To the left, a figure leans on a wooden branch, to which two fish are attached. This small sanctuary is typical of Gothic religious architecture in the L
