As in every village, Wépion, of course, has its village fairs, but the Wépion strawberry one has been for many years the queen of the great tourist festivals, organized by the village or the local tourist board. Thus, in the 1950’s, the Dinant road, less frequented than today, was the venue for folk parades where Miss Strawberry and Mr Cook married in a charmingly naïve celebration. Later, in the 70’s and 80’s, gigantic strawberry festivals attracted thousands of tourists to the Meuse valley in the last weekend of June.
