At the entrance to the Chemin-de-Messe, a paved path climbs up the hill to the ancient church of Saint-Étienne-au-Mont, where there is a wooden Christ on the cross dating perhaps from the 16th century. Partly restored (arm), the cross is on a moulded base and sheltered under a canopy in the shape of an arch, topped by a stone cross. This structure may date from 1886, according to the chronogram "pItIe MIserICorDe seig(n)euVr eXaVCez-noVs faIbLes peCheVrs".
