Mayan Codex

Of the thousands of Mayan codices created, only three remain today.  It is believed that Spanish priests or soldiers carried them home, and they now are in European libraries. Named after the cities where they are located, these codices are known as the Dresden Codex, the Madrid Codex, and the Paris Codex.
