The lime kilns in Cons Sainte Colombe

Learn about the lime industry of yore in an educational tour of the recently restored lime kilns of Cons-Sainte-Colombe, located between Annecy and Ugine. This industry provided construction materials for the entire area until the late 19th Century.
The museographical space is delicately embedded in the restored vestiges. The layout with mountain materials is consciously humble and contemporary. The project won the award for Patrimoine rhônalpin in 2006.
