LA PIAZZA E IL CASTELLO

At the west entry of the village there is the imposing 'Mastio' (a watch tower) with three sides surrounded by the rampart. This rampart, at the side that overhangs the little square, protects the village and castle.

On the south side, the castle is protected by a double wall following the hill’s scope. Between the walls and the castle there is a courtyard with a wonderful view on the Stirone Park and the mountain of Santo Stefano.
