In 1897 a hunting company with 30 members was founded in Belogradchik.
Later in 1934 the members of the company built the hunting lodge with their own funds.
And at that place, in August 1972, was founded the Natural History Museum. After 3 years it opened to the public with an exhibition, unique in this part of the country.
The Natural History Museum contains +/- 2500 objects from which 520 are exhibited here. The museum's small size is ideal to learn more about the most attractive part of the rich biodiversity of the entire Northwestern Bulgaria. The objects are arranged in an ecological way, allowing you to get a clear picture of the relationships to nature.
As for the facade of the building, it was repaired under the project "Beautiful Bulgaria" in 2001.
