The castle of Waleffe-Saint-Pierre

The Château de Waleffe-Saint-Pierre consists of a main building and two wings at right angles.

The main courtyard is decorated with groups of sculptured terracotta figures from around 1725.

A lovely Louis XV wrought-iron handrail adorns the magnificent main staircase, whose walls are hung with family portraits.

The walls of the Chinese room are covered with plasterwork decorated with rice-paper bearing Chinese motifs.

The chapel has distinctive trompe-l’oeil architecture.
