Doran Refuge
Description
We welcome you to our mountain refuge located at an altitude of 1495 m, beneath the Pointe Percée (2750 m), a 1.5-hour walk from the Burzier parking lot (Sallanches).
We are passionate about showcasing our beautiful region, and to achieve this, we collaborate as much as possible with local producers through short supply chains!
We offer a simple, homemade menu, with a daily changing dish.
We have a capacity of 54 places (5 dormitories and 2 private rooms).
It is possible to watch the milking of the cows in the late afternoon, around 4:30-5:00 PM, from late June to mid-September.
We look forward to welcoming you to the refuge.

Conditions of access for motorized vehicles
4x4 vehicles: allowed year-round on the jeep track. Pedestrians: Gypaète trail to avoid 4x4 vehicles (forest trail with a steep incline).

Sustainable tourism
As part of our eco-friendly approach, we have implemented several actions to preserve the environment: Sourcing from local producers through short supply chains to support local businesses and reduce our carbon footprint. Composting organic waste to minimize waste and naturally enrich the soil. Sorting and recycling waste for responsible resource management. Using solar panels for a more sustainable electricity production. Sourcing water from our own springs, ensuring a mindful management of this precious resource.
