Eglise du Moustier
Description
L’église Saint-Pierre du Moustier est l’ancienne chapelle d’un prieuré bénédictin fondée sous l’obédience de Cluny par le vicomte Ebles II de Ventadour au début du XIIe siècle. Son père, Ebles Ier, s’étant fait moine à Saint-Martin de Tulle en 1096, le monastère fut créé entre cette date et celle de l’arrivée du premier prieur, Philippe, cité en 1116. L’église romane du XIIe siècle, rebâtie vers 1494, reçut un clocher-porche vers 1585 à l’époque de Gilbert de Lévis de Ventadour.
