Villa Juno - Chambre familiale années 70

Villa Juno : We have completely renovated in 2021 this house built in 1836 and its garden to make it a guest house and share our taste for the Côte de Nacre and its history. Located in the village of Saint-Aubin sur Mer, the villa is 100 m from the beach, the sea wall with its cafes and restaurants. The decoration of each of the 4 rooms combines design and vintage to evoke one of the decades of the "thirty glorious years" until the "70s". The breakfast is composed of regional products or prepared on the spot. We will be very happy to meet you and to guide you, if you wish, to take advantage of the tourist and cultural resources of the region. See you soon!

The 70's Family Room: The orange color (emblematic of the 70's) of the wallpaper matches the engraving "Panam Building" of Pol Bury (author of the fountain of the Palais Royal near the columns of Buren). Painting takes several directions after the shock of the sixties: geometric abstraction (like Vasarely), narrative figuration (like Pol Bury or Fromanger), and hyperrealism (Duane Hanson or Peter Klasen)
The tam tam stool by French designer Massonnet, was originally designed for anglers: it became an icon of the 70s, and is part of the collections of modern art museums in Paris, New York ..
If the Tulip chairs and tables were designed by Saarinen in 1956, their success is confirmed during the 70s. The Componibili storage unit and the Nessino lamp are still manufactured and marketed 50 years after their appearance. Klasen's hyper-realistic door handle was exhibited in 1975 in Paris. Fromanger's lithograph "Life is a Commodity" is a testament to the changing ideas and phraseology of that time.
The modernity of the bathroom and the separate toilets brings you back to the comfort of the 2020s. This room is designed to accommodate a family with 2 children.
