Église Notre-Dame

The church of Notre-Dame de Cabara, in neo-gothic style, was completed in 1882 in the lower part of the village. It has a remarkable slender spire overhanging a belfry.
Like many Gironde churches of this style and period, it was built at the instigation of Cardinal Donnet (archbishop of Bordeaux)
It replaced, as a parish church, the existing Romanesque church in Haut Cabara, which had become too dilapidated in the second half of the 19th century, and was destroyed for the occasion.
