The museum is part of a heritage conservation approach and invites the public to discover lost or forgotten crafts.
The museum tour is guided by volunteers of the LADO Association, founded in 1983. The association aims safeguarding the handicraft heritage.
Located in the inner village, in a renovated building, it has three levels totaling approximately 150 m2. You can discover cathedral builders and bronze-smiths on the ground floor then trades of the thread (haberdashery, seamstress, lacemaker ...), milliner and linen maid on the 1st floor, and finally the woodwork on the 2nd floor.
Bièvres tool fair takes place on May 1st of each year.
