The restaurant is on the edge of the small village of Arganon, close to Orthez and is housed in a charming former barn.
La Bulle has ‘Maître restaurateur’ (‘Master restaurateur’) status. This is awarded to restaurants meeting specific criteria: fresh produce, onsite cooking, quality service and stringent hygiene standards. Hélène, the chef provides homemade food made from fresh produce. The restaurant specialises in Basque and Béarnaise dishes such as Basque style lamb sweetbreads, garbure (Béarnaise soup) and leg of lamb with porcini mushrooms. Why not try the ‘Heart of Béarn Platter’ - a medallion of semi-cooked foie gras, duck or beef skewer, served with potatoes, a green salad, local cheese and a glass of red or rosé wine.
