Ville de Lavardac
Description
The village of Lavardac was fortified around the castle (now destroyed) in the form of Castrum and then Bastide. Traces of this period are very rare, but some of the following periods remain: Renaissance houses and mansions, the 17th century church, the 20th century kiosk. In the 19th century, the port was an important crossroads of river trade and today Lavardac is a tourist port where it is good to stroll.
