A first church was erected in Barsac during the 11th century. It was rebuilt during the 15th century and the architect Etienne Baudoyn added a chapel in 1536.
The parish became more important so a new church was planed, and the architect Claude Joyneau was prime contractor. The works started in 1702 and the framework was payed in 1710. The new church has 3 naves and 4 bays. The frontage is overlooked in the centre by a square bell tower. An arch constitutes the porch holds the high levels lighted up with twin bays with oculus, whose angle are decorated with ionic pilaster.
