This dolmen (legendary megalith) is located in the commune of Lamazière-Haute at a place called Le Chevatel. La Pécoulière, also known as the Pierre des Fées, like others in Haute-Corrèze * La Pierre Fade at Malleret in Creuse. The dolmen is mainly composed of gneiss. The table rests on three orthostats. One stone is separated from the dolmen by a small dry-stone wall, and another lies half-buried, perhaps on two other orthostats. Legend has it that a fairy was tending her animals. Tired of standing, she decided to build herself a bench. She placed a large stone on her head and three smaller ones in the pockets of her apron. When she reached her destination, she put the stones together. The construction was named Pierre Coupelière, meaning "stone for cutting".
