Neufchâteau is the first "Site Patrimonial Remarquable" in the Vosges department, and is committed to showcasing its architectural and artistic heritage.
Listed as one of "France's 100 Most Beautiful Detours" and awarded the "Petite cité de caractère" label, Neufchâteau's exceptional heritage reinforces its identity and makes it an obvious tourist attraction in the heart of the western Vosges region.
The town is criss-crossed by the Euro Vélo 19 - La Meuse à vélo (Meuse by bike) itinerary, enabling cycle tourists to discover the treasures of the historic town center: the churches of Saint-Nicolas and Saint-Christophe, the former magistrates' court, the former Italian-style theater "Le Scala" and the Hôtel de Houdreville (Renaissance staircase and medieval cellars).
The tourist office offers VIP guided tours, as well as tours of the town throughout the year (booking required).
