La pelouse du potelon à Attignéville

Follow the Vair river and the main road n°3 to reach Attignéville and its grassland of the Potelon. Turn toward the centre of the village and follow the indicating signs to arrive on the plateau. The Potelon has been classified as environment of European interest with its preserved vegetation which survived heavy human works. After clearings, the rock's exploitation and the agro-pastoral activities have ensured the preservation of the typical vegetation and of the chalky grasslands.

On sunny days, discover the numerous species of butterflies showing the highly diversified life of the environment. More than 200 botanical species and more than 460 total plants and animal species have been identified : golden-chains, red fescues, short-horned grasshoppers or marsh fritillaries.
