Jardin d'eau

This central area of over one and a half hectares on the banks of the canal is a permanent spectacle of vegetation and water jets, inviting you to stroll and daydream. In addition to unusual ponds lined with aquatic plants, it features small squares bordered by tall trees. Children love these areas, where they can play in complete peace and quiet.

From rue Henri Bazin to rue des Tiercelins, seven ponds have been laid out according to a specific plant theme: the Canal des Iris, the Bassin de la Roselière, the Bassin des Typha, the Bassin du Miroir d'Eau, where submerged plants grow, and the Bassin du Jet d'Eau, where you can practice water modelling. The Hundred Fountains basin creates a garden of unusual, moving figures, while the largest of the water features, the Water Lilies basin, is embellished by an island planted with bald cypress trees.
