This park was deliberately created in the city center on a site originally intended for housing. Covering 16 hectares, it offers a veritable haven of greenery, with publicly accessible lawns, tall trees and thousands of perennials and seasonal flowers.
It is crossed by a stream called "le Brichambeau", which rises at the foot of the MJC Lorraine and was once lost in the marshes of "Haut de Quemine". It is home to carp, tench, perch, trout, fry and water turtles, as well as a colony of ducks such as Mallards, Souchets and Carolins. The park is also classified as a "Refuge L.P.O" (Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux).
Twelve entrances provide access to this typically Vandopérian promenade.
