



Its name pays homage to the city's protector. Saint-Georges is depicted on one side of the door (on the country side). Jean Richier and Simon Drouin were the 2 sculptors responsible for the building's remarkable decoration. Linked to the construction of the Ville Neuve, it was built between 1606 and 1619 in the Renaissance style. Its remarkable restoration dates from 2013.
It was saved from destruction thanks to the intervention of Victor Hugo.
