Located in the heart of the flowery village, in the south of the Vienne, the Saint-Léger church dates from the 12th century. The multiple sarcophagi in front of the western facade seem to demonstrate the presence of a building from the High Middle Ages.
The church has a roof made of lauzes (flat stones) and wall paintings dating from the XIIIth century and restored in the XVth and XVIth centuries with themes such as Saint Jacques le Majeur, the Piéta, the miracle of Saint Eloi, the Virgin with the child breastfeeding, the Christ in glory and the evangelists..
The monument is composed of a nave with a single vessel, three bays and a choir formed by a semicircular apse in front of which we can see an altarpiece.
The church has been classified as a historical monument since 1985.
