Former domaine of the Bishops of Verdun, built by Hatton in the 9th century. This site is one of the most significant, steeped most completely
in the history of Lorraine. It suffered attacks in various wars, then was restored – first by an American, then by the present owners. Situated on a promontory which dominates the Woëvre plain, the overall impression is one of harmony and serene beauty.
