The Mont-Royal! Former bastide of the 13th Century, Montréjeau from its height of 468 metres provides a superb panoramic view of the Pyrenees Mountains. The Eponyme trail will illustrate the history of this bastide through its characters and its architectural heritage: the Saint John the Baptist Church, Hotel de Lassus, the Valmirande Castle and its arboretum with over 180 species on 100 acres... As to its lake and the recreational park next to it (playgrounds, animals, boules pitch, picnic areas), they offer you peacefulness and a superb view of the mountains. Don't miss these: the Folkdance and music festival every summer during August, its traditional markets on the last Monday of July.
