BUREAU D'INFORMATION TOURISTIQUE DE MARTRES TOLOSANE
Description
Martres-Tolosane, an artistic town. This circular bastide shelters a rich cultural heritage: a luxurious Gallo-Roman villa, a dungeon, a church built at the site of a paleo-christian necropolis (numerous sarcophagi found) and especially a unique faience artistic heritage. The 9 potters of Martres-Tolosane will enjoy sharing this tradition with you during the tours of their workshops. “Angonia”, the showcase of the town's artistic heritage displays some of the unique faience works from the 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries.
