Legend has it that, on 15 August 1096, Pierre l'Ermite, having assembled the army of Godefroid de Bouillon on the alluvial plain on his way to the crusade, made a vibrant exhortation that enthralled the troops present. On the right and left we are in a site listed by the Royal Commission on Monuments, Sites and Excavations. On the right, the loop of Merleuxhan (Poupehan) and on the left the loop of Frahan. Poupehan is also the village of tobacco and washerwomen who used to go to Sedan to fetch fabrics for the textile industry and wash them in the Semois, whose bleaching properties were universally recognised. The viewpoint is accessible on foot via walk 13, which starts at Corbion.
