Description
Discover Charroux, the former medieval capital of the County of La Marche, which has been named Petite Cité de Caractère since December 2017
It has been for centuries an important stop on the way to Santiago de Compostela
The city offers a remarkable medieval heritage: vestiges of the Saint Sauveur abbey, half-timbered houses, 15th and 16th century houses, 16th century market halls, the Aumônerie gate: former entrance for pilgrims and numerous cellars.
