Café Charlemagne - Chez Marie-Paule

Café Charlemagne is a Nortkerque institution, having existed for "at least five generations." In 2000, Marie-Paule Charlemagne took over the café-grocery store located opposite St. Martin's Church in Nortkerque. Before her, her aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother had run it: a true family business. Behind the stove, Lionel, Marie-Paule's partner, prepares delicious, home-style dishes. Depending on the season and his inspiration, Lionel offers Flemish carbonnade, couscous, or bone-in ham.

"For our products, we source them as locally as possible. The bread comes from the bakery across the street, the pork from the farm in Brêmes-les-Ardres, and of course, the drinks from Charlemagne Boissons." Lionel and Marie-Paule
