This church is located at the crossroad of the two streets that make the village. The date of 1634 is mentioned on the chapel's entry door, but people say that the original building of this chapel lasts of the 10th century. In the past, this chapel was fortified. At least three of its sides were surrounded with water and it enabled people to shelter inside it. Important works were made in 1876-1877, according to provincial architect J.L. VAN DE WYNGAERT's plans. The cast iron - fountain that is in front of the church shows these works that were done to bring water in the villages during the second half of the 20th century
