Description
The synagogue of Arlon is the first in Belgium.In 1860, the Israelite community of Arlon, very important for its number and for its commercial activity, decided to build a synagogue.In a romantic-Byzantine style, its exterior facade has oriental features. Arlon also houses the oldest Jewish cemetery in Wallonia still in existence (1856).
