For four centuries, there has been evidence of economic activity in the Vielsalm area, which evolved from a family craft business into a small industry: making of whetstones from veins of coticule which are the only ones of their kind in the world.This restored former workshop consists of: a room devoted to the regional geology and an area illustrating, the economic, historic and social aspects of the working of coticule (a honestone) in the region.
