Youth Hostel of the Belfry

With 115 beds divided into 29 rooms, Mons’ youth hostel is a lovely place to stay, with wooden bunk beds and separate WCs, sinks and shower rooms. The youth hostel lets you choose between renting a bed in a dormitory or a private room. Either way, you can have breakfast and linen free of charge. The hostel also has three well-equipped multipurpose meeting rooms: TV-VCR, overhead projector, screen, flipchart, telephone and Internet (wifi).The hostel also has its own private car park.Mons’ youth hostel enjoys a fantastic location near the Grand-Place and not far from the station. It’s packed with personality, thanks to the work put into it by architect Jean Barthélémy. On the corner of Rue des Gades and Rue des Clercs, at the bottom of Belgium’s only baroque belfry, the youth hostel is open 7 days a week from 7.30am until 10pm. It’s an architectural triumph, which means that light reflects from every wall. This brightness is soothing and backed up by staff who are just as warm and welcoming. Everything is designed to make sure you have a great night. This attention to detail demonstrates the quality reflected in the hotel’s motto: “Chic et pas cher” (Chic and cheap).
