BELFRY YOUTH HOSTEL

With 115 beds divided into 29 rooms, Mons’ youth hostel is a lovely place to stay, with wooden bunk beds and separate WCs and shower rooms. There are also two sinks and two wardrobes with an integrated hanging space, plus a magnetic key system... total comfort guaranteeing privacy for visitors. The youth hostel lets you choose between renting a bed or a room. Either way, you can have breakfast and linen free of charge. The hostel also has three well-equipped multipurpose meeting rooms: TV-VCR, overhead projector, screen, flipchart, telephone and Internet, fax service and photocopier. The hostel also has its own private car park. Mons’ youth hostel enjoys a fantastic location near the Grand-Place and not far from the station. It’s packed with personality, thanks to the work put into it by architect Jean Barthélémy. On the corner of Rue des Gades and Rue des Clercs, at the bottom of Belgium’s only baroque belfry, the youth hostel is open 7 days a week from 7.30am until midnight. It’s an architectural triumph, which means that light reflects from every wall. This brightness is soothing and backed up by staff who are just as warm and welcoming.
