This blue brick-and-stone mill was built under the reign of Napoleon 1 in 1816. It produced flour and was connected to the neighbouring distillery. Outside, the renovation is complemented by the new mill covering: a cap is mounted onto a mechanism, which allows 360-degree rotation of the blades. This sets the stones that grind the grain – the primary function of the mill – into motion. Their ground and organic flour can be purchased on-site, as well as in several shops in Couvin.
