Classified in 1979, the castle, owned by an antique dealer, houses one of the finest gothic rooms in the kingdom. It also includes the bedroom of the famous Marshal of France, Honoré Charles Reille, who chose to stay here several days before Waterloo. Installed in what was the castle’s main building, a small living museum of a chemist’s shop shows this profession just as it was at the end of the 19th century. An integral part of Fosteau Castle, this French-style garden gives this 14th century residence a residential feel. This area of greenery is comprised of successive majestic terraces that lead down to a peaceful pond.
