





Located in the Maison du Parc naturel des Plaines de l’Escaut, Escale forestière is the perfect gateway to the Bon-Secours Forest (1,000 hectares).In the Explor’forêt rooms, take on a narrative and interactive treasure hunt created in collaboration with artists. Discover the diversity and natural wealth of the area through an immersive film.Then head outside with the family to La Pic’orée, a playful topsy-turvy area featuring a barefoot trail. Finally, immerse yourself at canopy level on the Promenoir des Cimes, a walkway perched 16 metres above the ground at the edge of the forest.Looking for more adventure? Set off on a mission in the forest with a game backpack or challenge yourself with a team orienteering course.Experience the forest in real life through several marked trails: the Flânerie de la lisière with its “Natur’Accessible” route designed for visitors with specific needs, as well as two family-friendly forest walks of around 3 km.Need hiking information? Curious to taste local products? Interested in the projects of the Nature Park? The visitor centre provides information on the 500 km of marked trails enjoyed by walkers, cyclists and horse riders, as well as on the natural and tourist sites of the Parc naturel des Plaines de l’Escaut and the wider Wallonie picarde region.
