Seven municipalities make up the Pays des Collines region: Ellezelles, Flobecq, Frasnes-lez-Anvaing, Mont-de-l’Enclus, Mainvault, Houtaing and Ostiches. They are highly appreciated for their wild and hilly landscapes, their local produce and their fantastic folklore. Go to the Maison des Collines information centre to find all information on the region: where to sleep, eat, go out, hike, what to do and the addresses of local producers. A 40-minute show presents the history of the Collines and their traditions. Many establishments offer activities with the family or among friends. Discover the history and use of medicinal plants at the House of medicinal plants and the Grange gardens. Immerse yourself in the rural life of yesteryear at the ecomuseum in Lahamaide and meet the donkeys of the Pays des Collines donkey centre in Frasnes-lez-Buissenal. The numerous paths and trails marked out by marker points also make it a very popular area among hikers. Four artistic tours introduce them to local folklore. The Mont-de-l’Enclus is home to a number of brasseries that are great places to eat and drink. Not to mention the Bois de la Houppe, the woodlands of Frasnes or the scenic RAVeL of the Collines where families can walk safely and enjoy rest areas. Finally, the breweries of the region can allow you to taste one of the many local beers, such as Quintine or Hercule.
