Adrien Joveneau and his team will be coming to Picardy Wallonia for their programme “Printemps Grandeur Nature’’. They are launching a big campaign to get people working to conserve our local environment through a few small acts which will have big consequences. From 11 am, many events and workshops will be held in Bassily – an introduction to edible wild plants, clearance of vegetation from RAVel green ways, tidying-up of signposted tracks, slow food workshops (chocolate decoration of icing-covered cakes and a demonstration of how to make pre-meal finger food), the planting of honey plants and how to make small shelters for insects. For people who want to take part in an even more sporty activity, introductions to jogging and Nordic walking will enable you to let off some steam. A slow food market and event stands will be open all afternoon. Lastly, Lemon Straw and William Dunker will play an acoustic set, which starts at 4.30 pm. The first 100 people who turn up will get a free slow food lunch and t-shirt ! Food and drink available onsite. Free entry.
