The Birou mill, currently owned by the Salles-Saboth family, takes its name from the house overlooking Rue de Greenwich to which it is attached. The building appears on the Napoleonic land register of 1810. It ceased operation in the 19th century and its millstones remain in perfect condition. However, the water supply has been diverted. It is one of the many mills that once stood within the municipal area traversed by the rivers Mardaing, Souy, Rieutord and Géline.
