Description

The meanders of the Adour river have constantly moved with the successive floods and droughts. The old river beds, under the rich layers of silt that have been favourable to agriculture since Antiquity, are today exploited as quarries and gravel pits. Archaeological finds are frequent: cut and polished stones, pottery, .... Then, when the exploitation is exhausted, the quarries are transformed into ponds, which are suitable for fishing. Reedbeds, pollarded ash trees, poplars... complete the landscape of the agricultural plots and shelter a rich and fragile ecosystem. Take advantage of the Nerbis lakes to discover the Adour Trail from Dax to Saint-Sever. And why not try your hand at fishing on these 2 ponds of 16 hectares of 2nd category. With 2 hooks per line, you can fish for pike, zander and black bass. Possibility to picnic.
