In the heart of the medieval city, the collegiate church built in the 12th century is one of the jewels of the Poitou Romanesque. With the Baronnial castle, it reminds us of the essential role of the bishops of Poitiers, lords of Chauvigny, in the history of our city for almost a thousand years. Still used for religious purposes, it is particularly popular for wedding ceremonies because of its luminosity, its colors and the sumptuousness of the sculptures of the choir's colonnade.
