Le Pont du Vey

Description

Il s'agit d'un pont-écluse sur la rivière de la Vire muni de sept portes à flots, typique du marais. Elles se ferment à marée haute sous la force du mascaret entrant dans la Baie des Veys, empêchant la pénétration de la mer dans les marais et s'ouvrent à marée basse sous la pression de l'eau de la rivière.

Au lieu-dit La Banche, à gauche, sur la D444, la chapelle Saint Guingalois du XIVe-XVIe, ancienne église d'Auville-sur-le-Veys. Vue sur la vallée de la Vire.
