Departmental Museum of the Resistance "Henri Queuille
The museum has a double vocation: to discover the life and political action of President Queuille and to highlight the action of the Resistance in Haute-Corrèze, in particular the Neuvic maquis.
Henri Queuille, mayor of Neuvic for half a century, creator of the SNCF, minister on more than thirty occasions, three times President of the Council under the Fourth Republic, interim President of the Provisional Government of the French Republic, was also a Free Frenchman, called by General de Gaulle to London.
The history and actions of the Resistance in Haute-Corrèze are presented to the public through a thematic and chronological progression: the clandestine press, the intelligence networks, sabotage, the Liberation battles and the actions of the maquisards are notably evoked, as well as the actions of reprisals and deportation.
