Croix de chemin

The cross is set on a stone base. It is entirely inscribed within a square, openwork circle with blunt corners. The north face is carved with the effigy of Christ crucified. The head, whose features are barely visible, is 1/3 the size of the body. He is dressed in a long robe reaching down to mid-leg. The cross may be Romanesque, or it may be more recent if it is a reworking of ancient techniques.
