Militarial, Memorial Museum for Peace

This museum, situated in a former XIth fort is about the major global conflicts of the XXth century. You will discover a multitude of ceremonial objects, costumes, books.
Le Militarial is the place of remembrance of war veterans of last century.


 As a reminder, many resisters were in the Tarn maquis during the second world war. Preserving the heritage and allowing an educational access are the two main goals of Militarial.


A large part of the museum is dedicated to military costumes carefully preserved.


The museum has over 5 000 items in its collection, including helmets, lanterns, various weapons… The museum library contains over 10 000 books about the conflicts of the twenthieth century.
