La pierre du sacrifice

Near Létrade lies a mysterious rock called the "stone of judgment or sacrifice" because of its peculiar shape. In fact, the feldspar, which is more abundant on certain parts of this granite rock, has disappeared over the centuries, leaving cavities reminiscent of basins dug by man to receive the animals that were sacrificed, and gutters to allow the blood to drain away? Even today, this stone is well known to the châtelauds, and its legend is perpetuated from decade to decade. You can discover it by following the Létrade hiking trail.
