Occupied by a medical-social center until early 2020, this monumental Cartusian monastery was founded in 1219 by Archambault VI Vicomte de Comborn, on papal orders, to atone for a crime.
The Carthusian monastery was also the scene of the famous Lafarge Affair. Marie Capelle was accused of poisoning her husband, Charles Joseph Pouch-Lafarge.
Partly enclosed, and protected by numerous undulations, the Glandier site also boasts an exceptional landscape.
The Carthusian monastery is currently privately owned and not open to the public.
